Do you get as excited as we when we hear there are new architecture competitions going on? Let’s be happy together with these current architecture competitions to participate in.
Reuse the Lake Chapel —San Giovanni in Val di Lago
ReUse Italy has the long term goal of focusing the public attention on this issue, promoting cultural activities that can show how it is still possible to bring back life inside those ruins, activating a reuse process.
Participants of this competition are asked to reuse this space as a Pilgrim Center.
The competition explicitly requires full attention to the social and cultural aspects of the project, encouraging designers to work on a program linked to an everyday use, open particularly to the youngest generations and generally to the entire local community.
How would it be possible to transform the hangar into a community hub lived 7 days a week?
“home” remains the most significant architectural place we experience throughout our lives. Home represents safety, ownership, privacy, and stability. Home is where we can be alone and with people we care about most. Historically, the home has been a place of permanence.
What do you believe will be the future of home?
Render of the year
Designers tell stories through images. Through their images, they can shape and influence how others feel and understand their ideas. They must work with the feelings that emerge from an image. They must understand how to speak to their audience without words.
The Render of the Year award is seeking compelling images that tell stories of architecture, interiors, cities, and worlds that could be.
Co-organised by the Urban Planning & Design Institute of Shenzhen (UPDIS), the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), the international agency ARQ and curated by Non Architecture, this competition, titled “Community 2050”, aims to gather reflections and design inputs for a more sustainable and equitable progress of cities.
The competition theme proposes to look at communities through the lenses of technology and innovation. What is ahead?
